This picture shows the typical Mainzer ‘Spundekäs’, a hearty mixture of curd cheese, sour cream and a (secret) selection of spices traditionally served with wine. Indeed, as one would expect in one of the World’s Wine Capitals, traditional Wine Taverns boast first class wine selections (not only) from one of the countries most prominent wine-growing regions Rheinhessen. But in addition to restaurants catering to the local tastes, a wide spectrum of international cuisines will satisfy any craving!
